What if the fastest way to improve patient care isn’t seeing more patients — but empowering more clinicians?
That’s the question that has shaped Sarah Warren’s career.
With more than a decade in urgent care medicine, Sarah has become the person colleagues turn to when the stakes are high and the answers matter. A new guideline to interpret. A protocol that needs refining. A provider who wants to move from uncertainty to confidence. Sarah steps in, not just with answers, but with clarity.
As Lead APP and Clinical Project Specialist, she transforms complex, evolving medical evidence into practical, usable strategies. Her work ensures clinicians don’t just practice medicine — they practice it confidently, consistently, and at the highest standard. She believes one provider can impact hundreds of patients, but educating providers can impact thousands.
A summa cum laude graduate of Michigan State University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Sarah completed her PA training at the University of Iowa in 2013. She is board-certified and serves as a BLS and ACLS instructor, reinforcing her commitment to clinical excellence and preparedness.
Her influence extends well beyond the clinic walls. Sarah serves on the Michigan State University PA Program Advisory Board, speaks at national Urgent Care Association conferences, and is a Senior Medical Editor and Curriculum Lead for Hippo Education’s Urgent Care Reviews and Perspectives Podcast. Through national podcasts and video lectures, she helps clinicians across the country make sense of complex medical topics — and apply them with confidence in real-world practice.
Within the organization, Sarah is a trusted resource for the entire clinical team. Her depth of knowledge in medicine, paired with her ability to teach and mentor, makes her an anchor for providers seeking guidance and growth.
At the core of her leadership is a simple belief: confident clinicians provide better care. By developing clinical resources, mentoring peers, and staying at the forefront of evidence-based medicine, Sarah is helping raise the standard of urgent care — one provider, and ultimately one patient, at a time.
And while her clinical expertise is formidable, those who work with her know something equally important: she brings humor to the room. Sarah is known for being exceptionally funny — the kind of leader who can break down complex medicine and break the tension in the same breath.
Outside of medicine, she is a proud wife and mom of two. She and her husband stay busy with family life and remain actively involved in their community. Because for Sarah, whether at home or in the clinic, leadership is about the same thing: showing up prepared, lifting others higher, and making the work — and the people doing it — better.
